In my opinion…
The “In my opinion” program encompasses APPLiA Hungary’s competitions for young people, as well as educational campaigns for everyone, based on the winning entries.
Our students’ thoughts on a greener and healthier future.
In the fall of 2019, we thought it was time to ask the local youth what they think about the present and the future of our environment and planet. We selected the best 55 entries from the writings received for the “In my opinion… Young people for a greener future” competition. The creative photographs of the 55 students and one thought each highlighted from their entries were featured in the 2020 calendar of APPLiA Hungary.
In 2021, we turned to the students with another question: what do they think, how could we live healthier? It was now possible to apply for the “In my opinion… Young people for a healthier future!” competition in both the essay and short film categories. The photos and thoughts of the students who submitted the best entries were included in APPLiA Hungary’s calendar designed for the 2021/22 school year. In the course of both campaigns, we made short films with the students too. Their coursework can also be viewed on a separate website.
Components of the program
Tenders
So far, we have announced two “In my opinion” tenders: in 2019, the “In my opinion… Young people for a greener future!”, and in 2021, the “In my opinion… Young people for a healthier future!” tenders. Who knows, there might be a third one…

On the youthforfuture.hu website, you can view the best entries from both of our tenders, as well as the photos of the students and the short films made with them. The best of the best courseworks can also be read in English.
Photography
A kiválasztott pályázatok diákjait meghívtuk egy kreatív fotózásra, majd az itt készült fotók bekerültek az APPLiA Magyarország aktuális naptárjaiba. Mindkét kampány során kisfilmeket is készítettünk a diákokkal.
Calendar
We are very proud of our two calendars published so far! They turned out amazingly beautiful and unique! The clever ideas and wonderfully composed photos make them timeless.
Facebook campaign
As we flipped the pages of our current calendar, each time one of our students came into focus on Facebook as well: they were featured on the weekly cover photo and in a post that encourages thinking together.
